Since its existence, the Associação Juvenil de Peniche has been dedicated to helping its community. In this sense, the Association has a large number of Iinitiatives and causes supported to develop and improve both the culture of the community, as well as prevention and awareness of environmental causes. 

The 1st Book Fair took place in 1997 as part of the Cultural Week activity, having evolved into an autonomous event. The Book Fair has been organized for over
for two decades at Clube Recreativo Penichense, with an annual presence during the summer. Year after year, there was a notable growth, causing this fair to be extended to another one in the Parreirinha Forum, which takes place both in the summer, at Christmas and also at Easter. During these periods, the Fair of the book welcomes writers and storytellers through the cultural program developed by AJP in partnership with the Municipality.
Within the scope of the Blue Flag Project, we collaborate with the Municipality of Peniche in promoting various environmental education activities on the various award-winning beaches with the aim of inciting young people to the importance of cleaning beaches and oceans.
